Active Ingredients: Ratio 3:8
Red Clover Flower (Trifolium pratense)
Historically used as an alternative agent for hundreds if not thousands of years in many different systems of herbal medicine throughout the world, red clover is one of the most commonly known blood cleansers or alternatives. Red clover contains a host of different biologically active compounds including daidzein, formononnetin, genistein, pratensein and trifoside. Due to the high content of several nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, this herb is a dependable nutritive supplement for all forms of degenerative diseases.
Burdock Root (Arctium lappa)
Burdock has been used traditionally as a blood purifier and as a classic alterative herb. Burdock root contains large amounts of inulin and mucilage which may help to explain its beneficial effect on inflammatory conditions. It is a mineral rich herb with strong liver detoxifying properties which help to eliminate long term impurities from the blood.
Poke root (Phytolacca americana)
Poke root is a very powerful herb which should be used with care; as part of this formula, it can be used safely. This herb has a tonic effect on the lymphatic system. Working as a stimulant to help the body remove collected waste material congested in the tissues, Poke root also improves lymphatic and blood vascular activity.
Oregon Grape root (Mahonia aquifolium)
Oregon Grape is known in the Spanish tradition as the “herb of the blood”. It aids in the assimilation of nutrients with its cleansing properties and is a beneficial tonic to the glands.
Prickly Ash bark (Zanthoxylum americanum)
Traditionally used to increase circulation, Prickly Ash bark also has blood purifying properties. This unique combination of properties makes it very useful in treating slow healing wounds and diseases.
Buckthorn bark (Rhamnus catharticus)
Buckthorn has been used primarily in Europe as a treatment for constipation and spastic bowel for centuries. Its use for these purposes has declined with the discovery of cascara sagrada although it is still often used in Europe in its traditional role. The anthraquinone glycosides content found in buckthorn is responsible for its primary effect of increased muscular contractions and the moving of water from the lining of the bowel wall into the fecal material being eliminated from the large intestine. This results in strong and soft bowel movements. A properly working bowel is essential to the effectiveness of any cleansing/purifying formula.
Sarsaparilla root (Smilax officinalis)
This herb is traditionally used to remove heavy metals and contaminates from the air we breathe and out of the body. Sarsaparilla root also works to increase the rate of body metabolism.
Narrow-leaf Echinacea root (Echinacea angustifolia)
Traditionally referred to as the “King of blood purifiers”, it is used as an antiviral for the treatment and prevention of colds and other viral infections. Echinacea is believed to work primarily by activation of white blood cells used as part of the immune system as well as increasing production of interferon. Active constituents include alkylamides/polyacetylenes, caffeic acid derivatives, and polysaccharides.
Pau D’Arco inner bark (Tabebuia impetiginosa)
An effective blood purifier and blood builder, Pau d’Arco is also used a pain reliever.
Guaiacum resin (Guaiacum officinale)
This herb works to clear toxins from the tissues and also has pain relieving properties.
