What Is Lignan?
Lignan can be mainly found in the flax seed hull—it’s what keeps flax oil and fibre protected in nature! It is a very powerful anti-oxidant which benefits the heart, joints, immune and digestive systems. Lignan also works to balance hormones, providing much needed support after spay/neuter surgeries.
Ingredients: Organic flax hulls
**Cushing’s disease is generally caused by either a cancerous or noncancerous tumour pushing on the pituitary gland or adrenal gland and causing an increased amount of cortisol to be released. Some common symptoms of the disease include hair loss on the body (excluding the head and limbs), thinning skin that is easily bruised, increased thirst and urination, increased appetite, pot belly, panting, muscle weakness, and lethargy. The lignans in this product are antioxidants found in the hull of the flaxseed plant and contain soluble and insoluble fibre. Flaxseed lignans are most recommended for cushing’s therapy because they contain both HMR and SDG lignans among several other types of lignans. Lignans are known for increasing enterolactone and enterodiol levels in the body which in turn decrease cortisol levels. Lignans are proven to improve skin and coat condition, restore normal thirst and urination, as well as normal appetite and weight, restore energy and decrease cortisol levels.
