Raw Duck Frames
Duck frames are a great bone choice for medium to large dogs. We’ve split these extra-large carcasses in half (width-wise around the “waist” to leave the bones intact) to make them more manageable for most dogs! Feed these large, semi-soft bones as a recreational chew or as a meal replacement. The high-cartilage content of these frames also makes them a great option for a collagen and glucosamine-rich homemade bone broth!
Duck is a low-allergen white meat alternative for pets who have poultry sensitivities. Duck is considered a cooling protein, which is useful when dealing with inflammation, skin irritations, and allergy symptoms. To read more about food energetics, check out our blog.
Duck frames are a high-bone content item. You can balance them out by feeding boneless meats, organs, and/or tripe at the next meal. Another fun option is to stuff the duck frame with these items, to give your dog some extra stimulation by working and problem-solving to get these tasty items out!
*True Carnivores recommends that you always supervise your dog when eating raw bones, and to be sure to choose bones that are appropriate for your pet’s size and chewing style. For more information regarding bones, please check out our Bone Feeding Guide!
