Expect a little snow: You may notice ice crystals or slight freezer burn on some portions. Thatā€™s completely normal. Because raw food has a high moisture content, even a small amount of air in the packaging can draw out moisture during freezing. It doesnā€™t affect safetyā€”just appearance.

Not vacuum-sealed? Still safe. Big Country Raw uses thermoform packaging, where the food is portioned first, then sealed and frozen. Because the product isnā€™t frozen before packaging, some portions may not appear uniform in shapeā€”and ground bone content can occasionally create micro-tears in the film. This is expected with thermoform packaging and does not compromise safety. All products are stored and transported frozen to preserve freshness and nutritional value.

Feeding tip: Rotate proteins regularly and supplement with omega-3s like Thrive Herring, Salmon, or Hemp Seed Oil to support your dogā€™s skin, coat, and overall well-being.
