The aroma can also vary slightly from batch to batch depending on the animal, its diet and other natural factors. Stronger-smelling tripe does not necessarily mean there is more tripe or that it is more beneficial to the dog.

You may sometimes see larger pieces of bone, especially from larger animals such as beef and bison. Raw bone is very different from cooked bone and is a natural component of a prey-based raw diet. Cooked bones should not be fed.
