Beef Heart Bites come in small cubes, making them easy to portion into your dog or cat’s diet. You can defrost and mix them with your pet’s food, or even feed them frozen as a cool treat!
Beef heart is rich in amino acids and b vitamins, which make it a great ingredient to help ensure your pet’s vitamin needs are being met. Many premade raw diets contain heart already, but if yours doesn’t or you are formulating a diet yourself, we recommend adding about 10-15% heart as part of the muscle meat portion of the diet. Heart is also a good source of taurine, which is an essential nutrient for cats!
Red meats and organs are an excellent addition to predominantly white-meat diets, which tend to be high in bone content and lower in organs. This will help to better balance the meals nutritionally and avoid the hard, chalky stools that can sometimes be seen when feeding chicken, turkey, or other bone-heavy meals.
